This policy has been prepared and issued to all our employees, to ensure that everyone is aware that we are committed to preventing accidents and ill health at our work place.
It is this company’s intention that all work will be carries out in accordance with the relevant statutory provisions and all reasonably practicable measures taken to avoid risk to employees or others who may be affected.
Stephen Smith has the responsibility for implementing this policy throughout the company and must ensure that Health and Safety considerations are always given priority in planning day to day supervision of work.
All employees are expected to co-operate with the company in carrying out this policy and must ensure that their own work, so far as is reasonably practicable, is carried out without risk to themselves or others.
Action will be taken to control specific hazards and instructions of compliance with application regulations and code of practice will be issued from time to time. Training will be given when necessary on foreseeable hazards and how to meet the responsibilities placed on employees.
The operation of this policy will be monitored by Stephen Smith and he will give advice on the requirements of the relevant statutory provisions and safety matters generally.
